Tommy Firebaugh

Tommy Firebaugh . . . is a Roanoke native who serves as a location photographer for The Blue Ridge-Southwest Virginia Film Office Incorporated and is an important member of their Advisory Board. Tommy is a well know photographer, having been voted "Best Area Photographer" by the readers of the Roanoker Magazine eight times since 1992.

His favorite subjects for photography are old mills, waterfalls, landscapes, covered bridges, and local area scenes. He feels it is imperative that he conveys the beauty of the 'simple things' and is driven to capture and preserve what he sees through the lenses of his camera for generations to enjoy.

Mr. Firebaugh has been a member of the Virginia Professional Photographers Association (VPPA) since 1986, having earned a "Fellow of Photography" degree in 1996. He is also a member of the Virginia Mountain Crafts Guild (VMCG) and The Virginia-Carolina Classic Crafters.

Tommy Firebaugh is a dedicated photographer whose work is displayed in the homes and businesses of collectors all over the world. He is also noted for his love of steam trains and is retired as a Product Manager from the Norfolk Southern Corporation.

Tommy has also enjoyed being behind the camera as an aspiring actor. He was used as a background actor in the motion pictures, 'Crazy People', 'What About Bob', 'Assault At West Point: The Court Marshall of Johnston C. Whitaker' and a segment of 'Unsolved Mysteries'.

Tommy's motto is "You name it, I'll shoot it."
