... To open communications with film company producers and directors who have utilized our region in the past, as well as, contact and open dialogue between our office and new production companies.

Our Vision:

We will create an environment of cooperation that will attract television, film, video and commercial productions while at the same time, nurture our regionally based film and media production companies. Our vision is to serve as a viable network for development of film production within the southwestern and far western regions of Virginia. Our staff will serve as liaisons between regional governments, residents, corporations and the film industry. Through rejuvenation and expansion of the film production industry in our region, we can increase the economic benefits and improve the cultural climate for every inhabitant in our area. Through a unified effort among the regional governments, chambers of commerce, and community leaders, we can develop our area into a filmmaking hub that will in time become an economic beacon that will symbolically shine as bright as the Mill Mountain Star.
