John Holpe . . . Serves as the Covington City Manager and was appointed to this position in 1996. John holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science from the West Virginia University.
Mr. Holpe has served as a City Manager for Dillon, South Carolina and a County Manager for Washington County, South Carolina and for Avery, North Carolina.
John has served on the Blue Ridge-Southwest Virginia Film Office's Advisory Board since the beginning of the film office and has been a staunch supporter and valued member. Mr. Holpe also serves as a location's contact for the Covington, Virginia region.
