DEET REED . . . Stephen “Deet” Reed joins our Advisory Board team after serving as a member of our Vision Film Festival-2003 committee and returns again this year to serve on our Program Book Sales/Sponsorship Committees for our Vision Film Festival-2004. Deet is an accomplished actor, salesman, singer, musician, writer, and all around extraordinare emcee at any event including our last year’s sold out Closing Gala Event.
Deet Reed can be seen on the Discovery Health Channel as an ER Nurse on the show Diagnosis Unknown-Tracking a Killer segment filmed on location in Blacksburg and Christiansburg, Virginia last year. Deet had a principle role as Detective Alden in the CBS made for television movie, Country Justice starring George C. Scott. He was also a WWII Soldier in the Showtime orginial movie In A Shallow Grave starring Michael Biehn. Locally, Deet can also be seen on Cox Cable Channel 9 as Co-Host of the television show Connections.
Deet is also one of the Founding Members and serves as President of the Star City Actors, a new organization developed to give support, training, guidance, and exposure to actors in this region of Southwest Virginia.
Mr. Reed is a graduate of James Madison University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications: Radio and Television Productions. He holds an Associates Degree in Applied Science: Radio and Television Production Technology from Virginia Western Community College in Roanoke, Virginia.
