Anne is well known for her Historical Oil Portraitures of Colonel Harry Temple, Virginia Tech Military Museum and General Robert E. Lee in her "Preserving Our Heritage" series.

Anne Bell is notably recognized for her work on the National D Day "Difficult Times" paintings and showing General Dwight D. Eisenhower in his "Decision Time" portrait. Anne was also commissioned to paint former Mayor Noel Taylor of Roanoke, Virginia which was unveiled at a dedication ceremony.
